Illinois Department of Transportation's Proposed Beltway Route

The proposed route of the beltway runs from Interstate 80 west of Minooka, through Kendall County between Yorkville and Plano, and intersections Interstate 88 east of Kaneville in Kane County. IDOT indicates that it does not have current plans to prepare a proposed corridor for the balance of the beltway from Interstate 88 to Interstate 90.

The red color shows the broad corridor which was considered and the green line inside is the 400 foot proposed corridor.

IDOT held a "open house" format meeting in Yorkville on December 11 and will accept public comments until January 11, 2002. Kane County Board Chairman Mike McCoy and others have requested that the original 30 day comment period be extended to 120 days.
