Prairie Parkway Corridor

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the final corridor for the Outer Beltway at a news conference on July 31, 2002, in Yorkville. The state retained its preferred route - the central corridor - with several modifications. Although the state labeled the modifications as minor, the final corridor includes 61 parcels of land not in the original proposal. With the corridor crossing 193 parcels, almost one-third of the parcels were changed from the original proposal.

The Record of Decision and the detailed maps of the final corridor are available on the IDOT web site http://www.dot.state.il.us (select the project information link, then the Prairie Parkway link, then the study overview - the links to the Record of Decision and the maps are at the bottom of the page).
