BIG ROCK — The second annual Stop the Beltway rally and family picnic is set for Sunday at the Marvel Davis Farm,
47W066 Jericho Road, five miles west of Route 47.
Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. The Grasslands Quartet will provide musical entertainment, and a complimentary
picnic supper will be provided by Citizens Against the Sprawlway volunteers.
The Sprawlway group was formed in opposition to the proposed Prairie Parkway, a 36-mile link between interstates
88 and 80, running mainly through Kane and Kendall counties.
Last year, about 450 area residents gathered at the Davis farm for the first anti-beltway picnic. For information,
