The
contest grand prize award is $300 with $150 first prize awards in
each of four categories.
Photos
will be judged on artistic and aesthetic quality, originality,
and the appropriateness of the subject representing qualities of life
and the environment that would be threatened by construction of the
Prairie Parkway.
Winning
images will be displayed on the websites of the sponsoring
organizations and may be reproduced in publications of the
organizations or displayed at events held by the organization.

image may be submitted in
each of the adult categories. The youth category entry may
include one image representing any of the three adult categories.
All
contest submissions must
be original, unpublished photographs, solely created by the submitting
entrant.
No
alteration or enhancing
other than cropping of the digital image is permitted.

to submit your contest entry:
Submission
deadline – must be received by 5 p.m., Saturday, September
15, 2007 either by e-mail or by postal mail. Submit as an
attachment to an e-mail to ppphotocontest@mac.com or on a CD-ROM sent to
Prairie Parkway Contest, PO Box 334, Big Rock IL 60511.
Images
may be submitted by e-mail or CD-ROM and should be accompanied
by a completed application form. E-mail images must include a
filed out file with the application form information.

fine print

retain the copyright to any photographs that you submit in this
competition, and all rights thereto, except as follows. By entering the
Contest, you grant to the sponsoring organizations the right to edit,
adapt, display, or reproduce images for non-commercial purposes without
compensation. Due credit will be given to the copyright
holder. The sponsoring organizations may disqualify any
photograph for any reason at their sole discretion.
